Plante Moran is nationally recognized for our expertise and bench strength of over 190 dedicated family office professionals. Our family office service group provides affluent families and family offices, a complete range of planning, risk mitigation, and compliance services throughout the nation. What is your firm's investment philosophy?: 

Our investment advisory services are provided by Plante Moran Financial Advisors, LLC. First and foremost, Plante Moran Financial Advisors is independent and objective, so our focus is always on helping clients find the right solution rather than a specific solution. Our investment decision making process is a highly collaborative and research-intensive process and with all decisions being the result of direct collaboration between our due diligence and investment strategy teams as well the Plante Moran Financial Advisors research and investment committees.

Many of our clients have recently sold their companies or large blocks of public company stock. Other clients still own their family business and have begun transitioning the business across generations. We also help families form family offices after a liquidity event and work with mature family offices on internal controls and operational issues. A typical family office client relies on us to help them with their tax, investment advisory, and/or business issues resulting from their ownership of real estate, private businesses, and securities. Many of our clients have ownership structures that utilize family limited partnerships, trusts, and private foundations.
