Ann Dugan, Senior Managing Director, Advisory Services
Ann Dugan, as Senior Managing Director of Advisory Services, leads the FOX practice team in the outstanding delivery of consulting to many of the world’s most substantial family enterprises and family offices as they strive to achieve long-term sustainability and multi-generational success.
Ann is best known as the founder and leader of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence University of Pittsburgh which she led as executive director for nearly 30 years while concurrently serving as Assistant Dean for the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. During this time, Ann built a dynamic membership comprised of entrepreneurs as well as multi-generational families engaged in growing and sustaining their wealth and their businesses while also planning and preparing for the next generation of family and business leadership.
Charles B. Grace III, Managing Director, Advisory Services
Charles B. Grace, III is Managing Director at FOX. Charlie works on strategic planning projects for families and family offices as well as wealth management advisor clients. Assignments have included work on advisor selection, education of the next generation, leadership and succession, governance, family office structuring, among others.
Charlie has been active for over twenty years in the family office community advising ultra-wealthy families and serving as a resource to ultra-wealthy families and family offices. He advised on investment portfolios and general wealth management for almost 10 years, working day-to-day at the multi-family office Ashbridge Investment Management LLC and the single family office Ashbridge, LLC. Charlie has been quoted in various publications on the subject of private wealth management, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Worth Magazine and presented at many conferences focused on private investors and family offices.
In addition to his responsibilities at FOX, Charlie has been active on the Board of the single family office Ashbridge, LLC since 1992 and in 2010 was named President. He is a Trustee and member of the Investment Committee of the non-profit Tuttle Fund, Inc. in New York City.
Charlie graduated from the Washington College of Law with a J.D. and is a member of the New York State Bar. He received a B.A. and M.A. in history from Bates College and the American University, respectively.
Sara Hamilton, Founder and CEO
Sara Hamilton is the founder and CEO of Family Office Exchange (FOX), a definitive source of information and best practices associated with the business of managing family wealth across generations. The strength of the FOX network is derived from the collective knowledge and experience of more than 340 globally-minded family enterprises in 20 countries.
Since 1989, FOX has made solutions accessible to financial families by fostering dialogue among wealth owners, family office executives, and wealth advisors. In 2009, FOX celebrated its 20th anniversary of service and remains true to its founding mission of objectivity in wealth management, member education, and shared knowledge across a sophisticated, global network of families and leading wealth advisors.
Sara is the co-author of Family Legacy and Leadership: Preserving True Family Wealth in Challenging Times, © 2010, Wiley & Sons. She serves on the executive education faculty of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business for the private wealth management course offered twice a year in Chicago.
In 2009 and 2010, Sara was named as one of the “Top 50 Women in Wealth Management” by Wealth Manager. She serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Wealth Management and Trusts and Estates as well as the founding board of the Chicago Global Donors Network.
Prior to founding FOX, Sara worked in marketing and strategy at Harris Bank and AT&T Information Systems. She holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of North Florida.
David Toth, Managing Director
David Toth is a managing director at FOX. In his role, he constructs actionable insights and strategic analyses for family offices and wealth management advisor members. He developed a pathway of initiatives that assist family offices and wealth advisors in building pricing strategies, elevating client experience, talent management strategies and optimizing team structure, and achieving profitable growth. David has authored a number of reports including our recently published study on the “Transformation of the Ultra-Wealth Business.” David serves as co-moderator of FOX’s Multi-Family Office (MFO), Integrated Wealth Advisor (IWAC) Councils, and the Strategic CIO Council (SCIOC).
David brings over thirty years of wealth and investment management, marketing, and strategic consulting experience to FOX and its members. He held key leadership positions in the Asset Management Division at PNC Financial formulating and implementing growth strategies that helped to more than double the size of their wealth and ultra-high net worth businesses.
David earned a B.B.A. majoring in Marketing and an M.B.A. majoring in Finance & Economics from University of Michigan and the University of Detroit/Mercy, respectively. In addition, David has completed Leadership and Executive Development programs at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Miguel López de Silanes, Managing Director, Europe and Latin America
Miguel López de Silanes Gómez is the FOX Market Leader for Europe and Latin America. He is responsible for delivering FOX services to current members and also works actively to expand the network in Europe and Latin America. His base is in Madrid, but he spends half of his time in Latin America.
Miguel has most recently been director of the family office for one of Europe’s leading real estate families, with specific responsibility for designing and implementing the family’s investment strategy and for providing owner education to the younger family members.
Previously, he worked at UBS Wealth Management in NY, Chile, and other locations in Latin America. He began his career at Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant in London and Madrid.
Mindy Kalinowski Earley, CMP, CFBA, Chief Learning Officer
Mindy Earley is an education and family office professional who believes that empowerment and knowledge are key to living a purpose-driven and self-actualized life. She is inspired by helping people learn, grow and discover the way that they will make personal and productive contributions, using their strengths and talents.
Mindy has held various roles in small and large family offices and has been responsible for creating and stewarding professional learning networks in support of human and intellectual capital. She has designed learning experiences that increase the knowledge base and enhance the life path of individuals while providing personalized support and coaching to help them meet their goals. After spending over a decade working in higher education Mindy is skilled in program creation for the student and young adult population. Her work included developing pioneering programs for learners to engage and thrive in college and through life after college.
