Webinar - CCPA is Coming: What You Need to Know

Overview

Wednesday, Jun 26, 2019 - 10:00am to 11:00am CDT

Last year California passed the most sweeping change to US privacy law to date. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) comes into force on January 1, 2020 and brings with it many new compliance requirements for companies who collect, share, and use the personal information of Californians. Companies need to examine their practices with respect to consumer data in order to comply with the CCPA’s broader requirements for disclosure and broader rights for consumers with respect to the control they have over their data.

In this session, we'll explore:

  • Who is covered by the law
  • What activities are regulated
  • What new compliance obligations are required
  • How companies can begin to work toward compliance

***Those that attend this webinar and complete the conditions of participation are eligible to receive 1 hour of CPE credit.***
