Your daily work may or may not include some of the following duties:

As a Client Advisor (CA), you will be responsible for the hands-on work and coordination with internal personnel and external professionals for execution of investment decisions, financial services, accounting, income, gift and estate tax planning and compliance, risk management and insurance coverage, and other project-specific matters for a confidential Family Office.


  • Prepare tax workpapers for UHNW individuals, investment LLCs and trusts and review tax return prepared by outside accounting firm.
  • Compile information required to prepare gift tax returns, filing gift tax returns and advising clients regarding income and gift and estate tax planning after consulting with internal and external partnered professionals.
  • Advise clients regarding income and gift and estate tax planning after consulting with internal and external partnered professionals.
  • Respond to client questions and requests after investigating and consulting on the best approach with internal team members and external professionals if necessary.



What skills and experience you need to bring to the table:

  • A CPA with prior accounting and tax planning and compliance experience at or with business owners, or a family office, or worked with clients with UHNW at a CPA firm is required.
  • Must have at least 7 years of experience with income tax planning and compliance for UHNW individuals, closely held businesses and pass-through entities, preparing tax work papers, and reviewing the final return.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Candidates with a Masters in Tax are highly desired but not needed.
  • Must have experience compiling gift tax workpapers and filing gift tax returns; strong knowledge of estate/gift planning, estate reduction/wealth transfer strategies and charitable planning strategies
  • Requires prior experience building complex models to project impact of current or proposed tax legislation, estimating for quarterly payments and other analytical projects.
  • Working knowledge and experience discussing investment portfolio and assessing property and casualty, life, and liability coverage with UHNW clients.
  • Requires an in-depth knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for S corps, gift and estate, investment partnerships, trusts and individuals.
  • Must be comfortable and have a natural aptitude in working strategically and working hands on with a roll up your sleeves and do what is best for the client attitude.
  • Must be an advanced user of QuickBooks, Quicken and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and strong relationship management skills are essential.
  • Requires exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize multi-faceted, shifting job requirements that include basic and complicated tasks.
  • Must be a natural fit in a highly collaborative and collegial environment that is dedicated to impeccable client service delivery.
  • Must have proven experience working remotely and independently managing tasks while actively collaborating with team members to meet individual and team goals to best serve the client.
