Critical topics to be addressed include importance of private family capital, effective family governance, next gen engagement and leadership, and development of a strategic, long-term view of the family’s future. Attendees will come away with ideas, tools, and frameworks to take the next steps to ensure a positive and productive enterprise for the path ahead. The peer connections to family offices and family members attendees leads them to return year after year.

Once again, we are excited to offer the Rising Gen at the FOX Family Forum program. The first session, followed by an informal dinner, will be held the evening of October 19 with continued exclusive, in-person programming for the Rising Gen community the morning of October 20. Attendees will come away with connections, ideas, tools, and frameworks designed to ensure a positive and dynamic enterprise for the future and their place in it. Rising Gen family members may opt to stay and attend the entire Family Forum for additional learning and networking or attend just the Rising Gen portion of the program.

Catalyst Capital for Systems Change: Financing Beyond the Grant
In an era of shrinking aid and shifting power, IDP Foundation has reimagined how philanthropy can drive sustainable impact. By deploying innovative financing tools—like program related investments, loan guarantees, and blended capital—the Foundation has supported thousands of low-fee private schools serving some of the poorest communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. This session explores how these catalytic approaches have extended the reach and accountability of philanthropic capital, strengthening existing systems rather than creating new ones. Join us to learn how smart capital strategies can fuel locally led solutions with staying power.

    • What’s Trending in Family Office Management
Exclusively for families and single-family offices
FOX thought leaders and subject matter experts bring you trends and insights from the 2025 Family Office Survey and other directional thoughts from various conversations over the last year. Join us for an engaging session around outsourcing and talent management trends, direction of philanthropy, and strategies around preservation of wealth while nurturing the next generation. Discussions will cover longitudinal views of what our members have told us over the years through FOX benchmarking surveys, which really capture how family offices are thinking about professionalization of the family office to benefit from emerging opportunities.

    • The Evolution of Governance on the Family’s Journey Together
Families need different forms of governance at different stages in their evolution, so this session will provide a framework for how governance evolves on the family’s journey. We will share case studies to demonstrate the purpose for governance as the stages evolve. We will also identify what family agreements have to be in place before family governance will be trusted and accepted by the family.

    • Generosity and the Rising Gen: Supporting Our Next-Gen Philanthropists with Arabella Advisors
The rising generations often see the world differently, and they are becoming more vocal about what they value and how they want to use wealth to create impact. Family dynamics are shifting, sometimes in ways that can be tricky to navigate, particularly in a time of significant polarization in society. In the midst of these changes, families strive for meaning, action, and collaboration. For family offices tasked with managing all of this alone, it can feel overwhelming. This session will build upon current research being conducted by Arabella Advisors on rising generation donors and the barriers they find themselves facing to efficiently and effectively engage in philanthropy. Through stories of real families, this session will highlight solutions to help rising generation donors unlock their full potential and support them to act, instead of react through their family values.

Betsy Erickson, Managing Director, Co-Head of Family and Individual Services, Arabella Advisors

Polarities: Moving From the Limitations of “Either/Or” to the Power of “Both/And”
We all face situations where our instinct is to choose. Yet neither path, on its own, is enough. As a leader, is it better to prioritize reflection or action? Does my team need flexibility or structure?

With Polarities, the opposites are interdependent because success requires the benefits of Both over time. Our instinct to choose is natural. In fact, it is key to survival. The human brain evolved to make clear decisions. Should I fight or should I flee? Approaching a problem with Either / Or thinking works most of the time, but not when faced with a Polarity. With Polarities, choosing one opposite over the other leads to failure. The path to success requires Both / And.
