The FOX Spring Global Investment ForumTM was held in San Francisco on March 13th. The Forum brought together many of the most sophisticated investors of private capital across the FOX community. The Forum addressed many of the increasing challenges that investors have when investing long-term capital in this time of significant disruption.

One of the most valuable benefits of FOX membership is the peer perspective gleaned by participating in FOX surveys. FOX's Kristi Kuechler joined us as she provides highlights of what we learned in the 2018 Global Investment Survey. She shared information on family offices' allocations and 2017 performance, took a deep dive as to how families are reconsidering traditional approaches to portfolio construction, discuss active versus passive investing for long-only strategies, and gave information as to how families are investing directly in operating businesses.

In 2017, three central banks within the G-7 tightened monetary policy through the traditional method of interest rate hikes.
